Carola

"Nothing, nothing," insisted Astra.

"No, you said something." Astra noticed Belinda had stopped crying too, trying to find out what she had said. "Something like cola or crawla."

"I was only talking to myself."

"Carola! That was it! Er, who's Carola?"

"Nobody."

"And what does she have to do with Mom's bellyache?"

Astra was again lost in her thoughts. She had less than 15 years before the dragon came into play; when Carola had been kidnapped, she was 14. On the other hand, she had 14 years to kill, and she had to spend them re-learning things she already knew. Was there really that much to change? Maybe returning to her childhood had not been such a good thing after all.

"Astra," yelled Agra, "do you hear me? What's going on with Mom?"

"Mom is expecting a new baby sister," Astra said, almost without realizing it.

"What? Another one? and what does that have to do with her bellyaches?"

Astra came to, and realized what she had said. She had to think fast! "Um, that's how she feels the stork is close."

Agra and Belinda stared back at her, unconvinced.

"And who is this Carola?"

"Our new baby sister."

"And how do you know?"

"I, uh, overheard Mom talking about what to name her."

Belinda remained unconvinced, but Agra said, "Oh, okay. That makes sense." Belinda looked at her, and dismissed the matter. Apparently, if Agra was convinced, that was enough for her.

"Well, what are we waiting for?" said Astra, "Let's go to the healer's!" They stared towards the place, but couldn't reach it. They were stopped on the way by...
