"It looks like the chain was no match for your trusty sword," Astra said,
greatly relieved.
"Mm," Fred said. He wasn't listening, but was anxiously examining his blade for any signs of damage. He was happy to find none. Astra resisted the impulse to tap her foot impatiently. "If you could just deal with the other chain..." she said. "What? Oh yes. Sure." Fred struck at the other chain. It too dissolved. Astra was free, though she was still left with a shiny metal cuff round each wrist. "Thank you for freeing me," she said. "I suppose that I should introduce myself." "If you want." For a member of the Allarian nobility, he's rather lacking in the social graces, Astra thought. But I must remember that I've resolved to be nice. "My name is Astra. Princess Astra of Aquilaria, actually, but this isn't the time or the place to be formal." "That's nice." You could at least sound as though you meant it. "So now I suppose we go and slay the dragon." "That sounds like a good plan. Lead on, Astra." "I thought that you would know where to find the dragon," Astra said. "After all, it's your quest." "There's a problem with my map. I thought that you would be able to find him. After all, it was he who chained you up."
