Fred plummets down into the darkness and eventually lands. Luckily his fall is cushioned by some objects which make a crunching noise as he lands on them and then cover him in a gooey liquid.
Fred lights the candle he keeps in his knapsack and confirms what his sense of smell had already suggested - the goo is egg! He's landed in a huge nest, destroying the giant eggs within...dragon eggs!
He's barely had a chance to take in his surroundings when the air around him starts to vibrate to a strange pounding noise coming from outside the pit. Moments later the source of the sound becomes clear as the dragon Fred has been seeking lands at the edge of the pit and peers down at him.
