Them dry bones

The skeleton was pulling itself up; only its left arm and head were visible over the edge.

"Get behind me, Velus, I'll give this guy a taste of my sword."

"Actually, I think it's a girl; it came from the cairn the ghost of the woman haunted"

The skeleton had managed to pull itself entirely and was starting to stand up.

"Whatever. The skeleton can barely hold itself; it'll be easy to beat."

"I wouldn't be so sure, Fred. I kicked off its femurs, pelvis, and at least fifteen vertebrae, and God knows how many other bones; and it still stood there, suspended, strangling me."

Velus, however was having a dilema while hiding behind Fred's legs. His dog instincts were telling him that he should love bones, and grab one whenever he got a chance; but his common sense was telling him that he shouldn't try to eat pieces off a monster four times his size when it was about to attack them.

1. Fred went towards the skeleton anyway
2. Fred decides to retreat
3. Before Fred can make a decision, Velus jumps towards the skeleton to gnaw on its tibia
