The Doctor had obviously gone to the control room, for they soon heard the familiar noise that the TARDIS made when it dematerialised. When the Doctor went out he had put down his book, open at the page he had been reading. and the redhaired Betty went over and picked it up in the hope of discovering where they would be going.

  1. What she had overlooked was that the book would be written in Gallifreyan - but the pictures were interesting.
  2. "Interesting," she said. "Published in New York in 2143."
