A helpful passerby

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 88369

Fred and Velus stood outside the wizard's hut, watching the people walk by on the road. "Oh, Velus," said Fred, lamenting himself, "what are we going to do now? Where will we find another wizard that can help us?"

Just then, a passerby stopped. "Excuse me," he asked, "did I hear you say you're looking for a wizard?"

"You're a wizard?" said Fred in disbeleif. This was too good to be true!

"No." It was too good to be true. "But I know where to find one."

"Really? Where?"

"He's known around these parts as Belboz the Necromancer."

"Uh, isn't necromancing supposed to be bad magic?"

"Don't know, I'm just a passerby."

"Fair enough. Where can I find him?"

"Oh, he lives in a large cave to the west of here."

Fred glared at him. "Very funny, I just came out of there and all I found was this dog and a..."

"Which path did you go down?" interrupted the passerby.

"What? Th-the one at the left, of course."

"Oh. See, most people around here are right handed, and tend to take the right."

"But..."

"Everyone knows if you go too far down the left you get turned into an animal!"

Velus growled.

  1. "You've been very helpful," said Fred, "Thank you. Come on, Velus, let's go back to the cave."
  2. "Well, thank you," said Fred. "Hey, wait!" said the passerby. "You honestly don't think I told you that for free, do you?"
  3. "Well, thank you!" said Fred. "Who the hell are you anyway?"
  4. Velus attacked the passerby!
