A Way Out?

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 87812

"You think that you know a route out of the valley by going over the mountains?" Fred asked. He was surprised. If that was the case, then why hadn't Astra mentioned it before? Everyone had seemed to take it for granted that there was no escape from the valley.

In response, Astra returned to showing him a long-range view of the rim. Then it seemed to enlarge, as if coming closer, with more and more detail becoming visible.

"Your long-range vision is better now than human sight?" Fred realised. "You have been able to spot a way out that none of us could see?"

Astra nodded.

"But even if we could escape that way, could you?" Fred asked. "Footholds that we could use might be useless for you, as they could crumble beneath your weight. And a fall of a short distance might only bruise us, but it might cause you to fracture."

  1. Astra nodded vigorously, to indicate that she believed that she could escape along with the rest of them.
  2. Astra shrugged, intending to show that she was unsure.
  3. Astra shook her head. She would remain behind while one or more of the others escaped.
  4. Astra took up her stick once more, to write: "I have abilities that the rest of you do not, which will allow me to escape over the rim even though you cannot. Then I will get help from Aqualaria to destroy the dragon's army."
