Josh and Scott despair. After a year of normal life, intensive therapy and
lots of drugs, the two of them had crafted good lives. Scott was the assistant manager of an Applebee's and was rumoured to be first in line for head manager. He had many friends outside of work. He was a welcome sight in many watering holes across town and often volunteered for many charity works. Scott had personally build eighteen different handicapped ramps for older ladies in older homes. All of whom had quite tasteful crushes on him. Josh had a somewhat decent life as well. He worked as a janitor at Loews Hardware. While his responsibilities was spills he had spent many hours in the library learning about home repair on his own. Quite often he had helped many customers with much needed advice. Rookie employees were encouraged to ask Josh if they had any questions of how the store ran. Josh didn't have much of a social life outside the store, but his colleagues liked him and the managers supported him. Most of them. There was a small clique who ruled the weekends but all decent people avoided them. And when Josh was forced to work weekends, they didn't give him much bother because he cleaned the messes and that meant they didn't have to. Still, jerks. And now this. Back in the Staircase Room.
