Fred bent over and peered through the keyhole. Unfortunately, it was not very large, and he could see but little... It seemed to him a regular bedroom, though filled with an unusual number of green items, of shades so similar that the individual objects blended together. He did manage to discern what seemed to be an oil lamp emanating green light. The longer he looked at it, the prettier the light seemed to him, and he could not tear himself away...
The next thing he was aware of was the cold stone floor beneath him, and Rick's strong hands shaking his shoulders. "What ho!" he cried, startled.
Diana, who had been watching with her hands clasped together in fear, sighed with relief. "It was so strange, my lord! Your eyes went dull, and you ceased to move or respond to us! Are you well?"
"Perhaps I am just tired," said Fred, rubbing his head, but he had a terrible feeling about the lamps hanging on the walls...
