The Kiss

Robert wasted no time. A split second later, he had taken her in his arms and locked his lips to hers.

Astra had expected to hate the experience, but it quickly became apparent that Bob was a brilliant kisser. Indeed this was easily the best kiss that she had ever had. I suppose that he had to be good at something, she thought, before she became so caught up in the kiss that coherent thought was no longer possible. Time seemed to stand still.

1. Astra was brought back to the world outside the kiss by the realisation that the monkeys were hooting at something.
2. It was probably only a minute or so later, though it seemed far longer, that Robert removed his lips from hers. She felt a little dizzy.
3. One thing led to another, some of which we can't describe in detail in a story meant to be rated PG.
