"Maybe your strategem for luring him to the valley will prove to have been unnecessary," Fred said. "Are any of your catapults ready to fire? The full moon should be enough for your men to see him against the background of the surface of the lake, but it might be dark enough for him not to realise what was going on very quickly. If you could manage to stun him, then he might drown. Best of all, there would be no need to put the princess at risk."
