The Never Ending Quest - Episode 8628

The Doctor flowed into the room, like water from a burst dam. The stranger went down in a flurry of fists. The gun sailed away, empty of all bullets.
"Doctor!" said Stacy, turning the flashlight on him. The Time Lord's face was wreathed in anger. "I told you!" he shouted to the groaning man on the ground. "Never threaten my friends! You just had to ignore me!"
Then half the room fried itself.
By the time the ladies had used various fire extinguishers, the world was in no danger of exploding and the stranger was gone.
"Doctor?"

  1. But the Doctor provided no explanation.
  2. The Doctor sighed. "He...I hurt him. Needlessly. He has been in the prison hospital for eight months now."
  3. The stranger, uninjured, appeared from a half-melted doorway.
