“Oh my frething skull.... ,” I hear Warmaster Horus mutter to himself.

Mine isn’t doing so fine itself, thanks! However, I am happy to say --after waving off the frantic (unvoiced) inquirers shot my way by those who care for me--things are NOT quiet as bad as they COULD be here.

Yes! The unexpected (and entirely undesired) interaction between Psyker power and magery could have been lethal. Well, lethal for HIM. Being Champion means that I cannot die. Can be put into a condition that should kill me (and make me WISH I was), but I cannot die. Therefore, believe me I shan’t be trying to cast any lie detection/ill intent detection spells ON Warmaster Horus.

Dare say he won’t try something like that with ME and mine with his powers as well...

But, where are my manners? I guess I could just blame it all on the mild concussion I accidentally gave myself from that unwanted synergy between magery and . . .whatever you want to call the power Horus (Psyker power?) Horus was passively using. Know the signs almost by heart from past experience.

Snort, could make a snide comment about the life of an EVA pilot being fraught with peril (to paraphrase a line from Ranma ½), but don’t feel like being to make snide right now. Doomed to have the humor fall flat, but that said...

It looks like he’s taken more of a beating than I first thought from all this. HE has a concussion as well by the looks of it and I can bloody well tell from here by just looking at him One pupil is dilated larger than the other there and with a quick tricorder scan we’ll just see HOW bad....

Rei blinks at what she sees on the tricorder screen and then looks at Horus. Glands that secreted a strong acid for an ACID spit attack that could melt ordinary metals? Skin that could deflect almost all but the most exotic of 20th century bullets? And let us not talk about how much human bulk was contained within that Terminator armor! Good Grief, Horus the Primarch was a GIANT . . .which according to the muscle density the tricorder scan revealed could easily (with those huge hands of his) torn battled trained soldiers of the JSSDF to pieces . . .and that was withOUT the strength boost of this power armor

“Good God . . .you and your kin truly ARE terrors to behold in battle,” Rei muttered to herself, somewhat glad that the memories she’d gotten from Horus had been more concentrated on the Arts and technologys and such.

She’s rather not think what Horus has seen in battle over the years. Over the CENTURIES!

Uncle Elrondir had said something about (Space Marines and the Emperor of Mankind) being immortal and all that rot.... Made what she’d faced in battle pale in comparison.

Guys, we’ve just gotten yet ANOTHER problem . . ., Rei sighed as she put away the tricorder and pulled out one of her more powerful healing potions to treat her own injuries.

Moments later . . .

“Uncle?” Reika blinks, seeing a VERY familiar face dressed up in some rather refined (almost gawdy) armor . . .standing UP slowly from a rather large . . .throne of gold . . .

Frankly, this particular member of the family (who had been a rather avid hobby in horticulture) had simpler tastes in clothing . . .

1. “Father, what . . .why are you like this?” Horus asks, somewhat unsteady on his feet but waving off offers of help from the others.
