What the sprites had to say

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 8587

As Sir Fred leans in to listen to the sprites he whispers gently,"Greetings my good glamourous glitteratti, have you any news of the dragon?"

The teensy sprites giggle like the sound of a thousand teensy wind chimes.

Sir Fred carefully reaches in to his pack and draws out a shiny silver telescope which he sets on the ground. Fred turns the telescope so that the large side faces him and the small side faces the sprites. In this way he can see the sprites and be seen by them as equals.

This considerate gesture pleases the little creatures. Their leader, a twinkling fellow in frosty green with pale yellow designs, wafts over to Sir Fred's left ear and lands just on the inside edge. When he speaks Sir Fred can now hear him as though a regular sized person were quietly speaking, although his accent is highly musical and foreign.

"Salutations oh statuesque one. We know of many dragons -- why seek you such, Sir?"

  1. Sir Fred replys,"Actually, I've forgotten exactly why but I think it was because one was ravaging the countryside. The sprites look shocked to hear this."Not Seamore!", "Couldn't be Seamore!"
  2. You explain that you come from a village not far from here, and that the dragon you seek lives just past this domain. You ask the folk here for leave to pass through.
