An unusually confusingly comfortable position

As he lay there held within the muscular embrace of Alfred, Fred realised that he was actually becoming more comfortable in the young man's arms. This was a very confusing sense for the battle hardened knight to come to terms with as he had never had any of that sort of feelings towards another man. Embarrassingly he was beginning to feel the sensation of a very important part of his reformed anatomy rising to the occasion.

Fred was mortified at this turn of events and also concerned about how Alfred would react to him when he woke up, particularly if he noticed his arousal (which would be pretty obvious). He knew that any attraction he felt was completely with odds with the code he had always lived by and concluded that perhaps it was just a residual effect from Susan's presence.

Just then Alfred began to stir and opened his eyes. On seeing Fred his eyes seemed to open to the size of dinner plates and . . .

1. he yelped and leaped out of bed
2. he smiled and kissed Fred
3. he swung a heavy fist straight into Fred's nose
