A woman's work is never done

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 84583

Susan suddenly remembered that she hadn't been the most tidy cook in the world and that the kitchen was a bit of a mess. She laughed as she headed off to tidy up, knowing that the old Fred would never have considered clearing up and would have expected it all to magically be done (aren't servants wonderful!).

Soon she was up to her elbows in soap suds and was methodically working her way through the piles of pots and pans that she had utilised to create her culinary masterpiece. It took her nearly an hour to wash, dry and put away everything that she had used. At this point she determined to try and be more organised so that in future her evenings didn't end like this every time.

As she flopped down in a chair, her chores done, Susan said to herself . . .

  1. "maybe I need to get a maid"
  2. "if Alfred was so nice then why did he leave me to do all the work"
  3. "am I mad for talking to myself"
