At last a role

Susan made her way to bed and, despite the frustration she had felt, she actually felt a sense of pride at what she had done that evening.

For the first time in quite a while she felt that she had achieved something and found a role that gave some purpose to her life. While it was in no way a replacement for being a knight on a noble quest, she had made that meal and made a darn good job of it.

This sense of a job well done allowed Susan to drift gently into a very restful and contented sleep.

3. feeling a pain in her stomach and was violently sick
