"But perhaps Rutland could provide that proof, if he could be persuaded that we could protect him," Astra suggested, pursuing her policy of trying to re-establish her authority by being more proactive. She had no idea what "Is the Pope Catholic?" had meant, but had decided it would be better to let that pass, since the rest of Frank's exchange with her sister had been perfectly clear. (Though she didn't understand what his earlier remark about a "bridge call" had meant.) "You may be right," Frank said.
