A caring lady

Susan knew that in her current physical state it was out of the question that she could resume the sort of physically challenging quest that Fred had previously undertaken.

What she did understand was that the knights who did attempt to complete such challenges were often quite seriously injured and needed help to recover. She realised that by becoming a nurse she would be able to make an important contribution to keeping the brave men fit to fight. While our old Fred would have probably not thought such a role of any significance, and been rather cynical too, Susan was excited about her choice and determined to find a place to learn her subject.
