A Problem in Division

"See the tall redhead," one of them said, once he had stopped laughing. "She must be the escaped prisoner that the Dragon has told us all to look out for. There's a reward of one hundred gold pieces for whoever brings her in."

"We'll split it three ways," another of the men said.

"But one hundred isn't exactly divisable by three," the third man objected.

1. "You can have the odd coin, if it worries you so much," Number Two said. Number One agreed.
2. "You can have the odd coin, if it worries you so much," Number Two said. But Number One objected.
3. "It's divisable by two, though," Number One said, drawing his sword and running Number Three through. Number Two looked at him uneasily, no doubt wondering if he might be disposed of next.
4. "I should be worth much more than that," Astra said indignantly.
