The scanner screen began to flare with the impact of the robotic creatures'
weapons. Stacy gave a start of fear, but Betty-1 laid a comforting
hand on her shoulder. "It's OK," she said. "The TARDIS is nearly
indestructable." The Doctor was actually laughing. "Well, you wanted to come in my TARDIS, old chap," he said to the Master. "Apparently your allies have recognized it as belonging to an old enemy of theirs!" The Master looked really ticked off, though Stacy and the others weren't entirely sure whether it was at the Doctor, the Cybermen, or, more likely, both. "Fools!" he spat. He touched some control on the console, apparently to open some kind of outside communications line. "Idiots! Imbeciles!" he yelled, "It is I, the Master, your ally! Stop firing!"
