The stairs lead down to a largish room arguably overdecorated in Louis XIV style, although all things considered, the red velvet wallpaper is surprisingly tasteful.

A large portrait of an old man hangs prominently, which is odd, as most people prefer their portraits to commemorate their younger days. You don't recognize the old man, but he seems somehow familiar.

Now, Josh was ready to write the third paragraph. What does he write?

1. In any case, you have a fair selection of doors to choose from. There are two to the north, and one each to the east, west, and south. And of course there is the grand staircase, which descends into the center of the room.
2. There were large mirrorballs hanging from the ceiling, and an immense crowd of people disco dancing. Loud disco music was playing.
3. There was only one exit, other than the staircase--a huge puddle of light in the center of the room.
