Old Man Lots42 olds up to the Blockbuster video store counter. The entire hadn't changed in all these decades, namely because management wss too cheap and or insane.
There was some brief talk.
"Come on, man." says the old coot. "Surely, at one point, you'd, yanno, just sell the darn tape to my account. I mean for crying out loud, you have it over here in the Clearance bin."
"Sure, but when you rented it, it was new as hell and new copies are really expensive. Plus interest or something. Old man, they never really trained me. They just said which buttons to push."
"Come on, man, I can't afford ninety-thousand dollars."

  1. Because Old Man Lots42 is nice, the employee rigs the system to let the late fees slide.
