Always Beware Strange Medallions

Astra knocked her hand away. "Don't touch it! There are all sorts of strange magical items in these caves. Everything should be assumed to be dangerous until you know to the contrary."

But Astra's warning did not help this time. Two beams of shimmering green light suddenly shot from the medallion, one striking Astra and one striking Stacy. Nothing bad was immediately apparent, but then...

"Is it my imagination, or is Lassie getting bigger?" Stacy asked.

"It's not that. We're getting smaller!"

Lassie wasn't very big, [25894] but before long she looked as big as a horse to the two women. They were afraid that they might diminish to microscopic proprtions, but luckily their shrinking stopped when they were about six inches tall.

1. They decided that they would get on much faster if they rode on Lassie.
2. Stacy's clothes hadn't shrunk with her. She had to fight her way out from under them.
3. But the shrinking wasn't all. They had turned into mouse-girls. Luckily Lassie seemed unperturbed.
