Lord Fred's Dramatic Return

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 820

Sir Josh crests the small hill. To the right, thick woods led down into a steep valley. To the left, a grain field covered entire village's worth of ground. The mountains where the caves were could barely be seen past the grain. A few clouds floated merrily below the level of the peaks.
Sir Josh pulled out a piece of fresh fruit. As he ate, he noticed something in front of the clouds. It was black, and heading towards him. A bird? A bird didn't do that.

Josh realized that the thing had gotten closer while he was thinking! He realized that something was aimed at him. He dodged to the left but it hit!
Josh was thrown back into the woods. Branches snapped under his body, leaves and thorns tore at his skin...with a commotion that scared the birds Josh landed on a thich batch of bushes.

"Uhhh..." he moaned, not daring to move. "What hit me?"
Josh looked up and to the right. Draped over a branch was Sir Fred's body!
"Someone launched Fred's body at me?"

  1. Sir Josh decided to investigate who launched the body. He entered the grain fields.
  2. Sir Josh decided to bury Sir Fred before doing anything else.
  3. Sir Josh decided to get back home as fast as possible.
  4. Sir Josh hacked Fred into pieces so he couldn't be used as a weapon again.
  5. Sir Josh purchased a catapult from a nearby village and launched Fred back the way he came.
