Fred decided that, having come so far, he might as well head for the
orange room along with everyone else, rather than retrace his steps and
take the path where he might find useful items. So he followed Elaine,
Matthias and Adele, even though he was having increasing doubts as to how
helpful any of them would be when it came to confronting the dragon.
When he arrived he saw, as he had been expecting, a huge orange
gemstone (his knowledge of jewels was not great enough to tell him
what the correct name for such a stone might be). And trapped in it
was a figure:

A tiger which (or should that be "who"?) must be Sigin. [9446]

A man. Had Minestus turned Sigin back into his secondary human form before trapping him? (His primary dragon form would possibly have been too large to be contained by a gem, since all the jewels seen so far had been about the same size.)

One which, judging by their startled expressions, none of his companions had been expecting. It was a beautiful yet athletic-looking woman with red hair, who was totally naked.
