Applebees at the Edge of Forever

If anyone notices that Astra is naked, then no one gives any sign. Most of the people in the place are stranger than that anyway. For her part, Astra is almost getting used to the whole thing. As loud as the place is, there's at least an aroma of delicious food in the air, and the place looks comfortable and safe enough.

They enter and find a place at a corner booth that was unoccupied. A waiter appears almost instantly. Fred jumps slightly when he sees the waiter is a dark elf, but unlike most of the other dark elves of his acquaintance, this one is only carrying a small tablet and a pen, and isn't obviously trying to murder him. On his shirt there's a nametag that says, "My name is RYZIT!" in large, friendly letters. The suspenders are covered with a great abundancee of buttons with humorous or pithy sayings on them.

"Welcome to Applebee's," 'Ryzit' says. "So, what can I get you folks tonight?"

"I'LL HAVE A CHEESESTEAK AND A LARGE PLATE OF ONION RINGS!" yells Fred over the unholy din.

"MAKE MINE A COBB SALAD AND A STEAK SANDWICH!" yells Astra.

"Uhh...you don't have to yell, guys," says the waiter, gesturing at his pointed ears. "I can hear you just fine if you talk in a normal voice." After getting their drink orders, Ryzit rushes off to get the food and drink, leaving them alone.

1. They struggle to talk to each other through the din. Dark elves might be able to hear through it, but humans can't.
2. "This seat taken?" They look up to see a pair of men in suits standing there. "We have urgent business to discuss."
3. Ryzit returns with the orders...and hands them a letter given him by someone at another table.
