The second saucer came from roughly the same direction as the first one. It shot towards the first at incredible speed, then came to a sudden, impossible stop in mid-air next to it. "That's the ship we saw, Stacy," said Robert. And Stacy and Paula could, indeed, see that the two ships were quite different. Both were saucer-shaped, but the first was larger, with less of a bulge in the middle, and with a strip of light around the rim instead of a circle of small, individual lights, as the second one had.

  1. A beam of light shot out from the first saucer and englufed the second one.
  2. What looked like a laser beam shot out of the second saucer and hit the first one.
  3. Both saucers landed.
  4. Suddenly, one of the saucers went zipping back the way it had come.
