"Hey, You've Got the Wrong Dragon"

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 80017

"Die, dragon of the Northern Caves!" the newcomer roared at Fred as she turned to face him. He realised that he was hearing her words in his mind rather than through his ears. Apparently dragons could communicate telepathically (which was just as well, given that their vocal apparatus wasn't suited to speech). In the circumstances, he did not notice that she referred to the Northern Caves rather than to the Southern Caves, and hence was presumably from Aqualaria, the nation of amazonian warriors which lay to the south of the mountains.

"But I'm not the dragon of the Southern Caves," Fred objected. "He is!" He pointed with a forepaw at the green dragon.

  1. "You lie!" she hissed.
  2. "Oh, well in that case..." She turned to face the other dragon.
  3. "You're a dragon of the Northern Caves, and that's good enough for me."
  4. "Don't worry, I intend to kill him as well after I've finished with you."
  5. Apparently her control of her dragon form was less than perfect, as she abruptly reverted to human form.
  6. Meanwhile the green dragon, who of course could hear this conversation...
  7. Meanwhile Sir Toby, unable to hear anything but roaring...
