Han surveys the stairway. It's pretty much identical to any stairway built on any planet inhabited by humans that he's ever seen. In fact, this particular stairway is so generic it might as well be composed of the spiritual essence of every last stairway on every last planet in creation. One goes up, and the other goes down--he can just see a landing in either direction. He rummages in a box of food until he comes up with a can of something drinkable. The lettering on the label isn't in Aurebesh, but the Roma script used in CorSec. Great. Maybe he's somewhere in the Corporate Sector. He doesn't know what a "Pabst" is, and he decides to reserve judgement about whether or not it deserves a blue ribbon, but the word "beer" is more than enough for him at this moment. He searches the can for the chilling stud, and fails to find it. Must be one hell of a cheap brand, but he's probably had worse. He cracks open the can and downs it most of it in a few swallows. Definitely not blue ribbon material, but not too bad. He opens another can, then nibbles a doughnut from a bag while pondering his next course of action. He finishes the doughnut and his second beer, relishing the slight buzz of mingled sugar and alcohol, and rummages about until he comes up with a ball of twine, which he ties to the bannister. On general principles, he decides to go up, as it was more likely to lead him to a hangar or a landing platform than down, or at least a room with someone to talk to, and since the stairway landing was completely nondescript, the twine would help keep him from getting lost. He walks upward slowly and cautiously for at least a hundred meters, until he comes to the landing. He opens the door there, and see...
