False alarm

You stare wild eyed at him for a moment before you realize he's not panicking like the dancer. "What??"

He smiles. "Sorry, just a little office joke. Where do you come from anyway? We don't see many humans around here."

You glance in the direction of the door. Now you're really wondering about the skunkette's reaction.

"Oh, that was just Beverly," the tiger explains, as if he's reading your thoughts. "She's kind of nervous today. That Time, you know. And I think this is her second shift too." He pauses thoughtfully. "Still, something must have happened to set her off like that. Did you...?"

"I threw her a buck," you explain.

"So? That's a bit less than what she usually gets, but guys throw money at her all the time."

"Not a dollar", you elaborate. "A buck."

1. He gives you a confused look then bursts into roaring laughter.
2. He stares at you with a shocked expression. "You did WHAT with His Royal Highness?!" Oops.
3. He sneezes violently and snarls at you. "You fool! I'm allergic to puns!"
4. He stares blankly at you. "Sorry, I've had my sense of humor surgically removed. It's a requirement for becoming a manager." Hmm, didn't he make a joke before? Although not a very good one...
5. Bevererly enters timidly to apologize.
6. Beverly strides confidently into the room and stops dead at the sight of the tiger. "KHAN!!" she roars.
7. The bouncer comes into the room. "Hey Mister, that truck full of nitro you drove into the bar and everyone seems to have forgotten about? I think it's about to explode." Well thank you, Mister Exposition.
8. Josh Burbank makes the obligatory appearance, doing something weird as usual.
9. Ninjas. Can't go wrong with ninjas.
10. The aforementioned buck comes into the office and, well, stops. Right there. Ouch.
