The people of Fort Bragg are naturally quite astonished that the cardboard box is moving at all, much less that it can carry grown adults without falling apart. Fortunately, to ease the tension of the sheer weirdness just a little, the soldiers of Fort Bragg had video footage, for they had been monitoring the Hardee's situation for some time with a remote drone. Which dovetailed into their other main mission quite nicely. Fourteen children on base were suffering severe diabetic issues and needed insulin. The drone had noted sufficient supplies for years in an armored supply truck overturned on Twelfth and Next. Private Dancer, who had become the children's unofficial entertainer, had memorized the needed medical information and wanted to take the cardboard box out to get the medicine. He was not going to let the kids down. Sure, the base had other vehicles with fuel but the zombies had learned to zoom in on the smell of burning gasoline. They knew it meant humans, even if the humans disguised their smell with ... other ways. Many other soldiers, who had seen the footage of the box tearing ass across the city, volunteered to come with. There was just one problem.
