With a *BAMF* and a smell of scorched hair gel, Dan Danger, Sir Seeker and Mr. Qrygg appear in a cardboard box...which materializes outside the Hardees. The three of them abruptly stop arguing at about the same time that they notice the zombie hordes lurching towards their box. With a cry, they leap out and run--not to the Hardees, but to the woods surrounding it. Three zombies inspect the huge box curiously. They sniff and taste the cardboard, but when it proves to be nothing more than human-scented cardboard, they stop. One of them notices the writing on the crude keyboard at the panel. Before his death at the hands of, and subsequent resurrection into, a zombie, he had been a physicist at JPL. As it stands now, while he is quite slow by the standards of the living, for a zombie, he was actually extremely clever. Somewhat dimly, it recognizes the words "PUSH ME" on a post-it note above a button. As it seemed to be a call to push the button, the zombie did so. With a MOOB sound, the box vanishes. The box appears to be moving down a tunnel made of swirling blue light and fog. It obviously isn't something they could eat, and so the zombies mostly ignore it. With a BAMF noise, the box materializes on a forested hill in the early evening. Curiously, the zombies get out of the box and wander into the outskirts of 1st century Rome, where they fall onto a pair of drunken vagrants and kill them. A body of a murdered prostitute nearby, affected by the same resurrection force the zombies carry, soon rises and claims several more victims, some of who rise shortly thereafter to claim several more. By morning, several hundred undead are loose. By the next night, nearly ten thousand more have rise--and every soldier or civilian who dies trying to stem the tide who isn't simply torn apart and eaten rises to join them. Within a week, the government has fled and the city itself is all but empty of life, and within a month after that, most of the Italy is is overrun.
