The Never Ending Quest - Episode 78249

Sara looks around. There are seven people, two behind the counter. All are filthy, dressed in torn rags. Two are sitting at a table, sipping water out of filthy mugs. Three are in a 'conversation pit', chatting amiably about old VHS stuff they saw at a library.
"What? What?" Sara says softly.
The female employee cocks her head. "We have many drinks. And due to a new policy they're labeled like everyone else!" She points to two cups. "Small, medium..." and then to a hand impaled in the counter. "And large!" The hand had mostly decomposed and in fact as Sara watched the pinky just fell right off.
"Don't you know what is going on outside?"
"Sure!" the employee says brightly. "A parade!" She points to the clock.

  1. Oddly, it is still running.
  2. It is an electronic calendar clock, it had stopped a few hours after the zombie uprising.
  3. Impaled on the clock was a human head. A makeshift sign around it's neck said 'He insisted the parade was zombies."
  4. Actually, Sara had bonked her head on the doorframe. Inside was what anyone would expect with sane zombie survivors.
  5. It was a normal clock but next to it was a ripped away a.c. vent. With a zombie peeking in. "Rar!"
