The man looked around nervously. When he spoke, it was actually out of the
corner of his mouth. This guy had obviously seen way too many spy
movies. Or something. "Thanks for coming," he said. "I know it was
risky, but I will make it worth your while." Stacy tried to play it straight. "Oh?" she said. "Do I understand correctly, that you have some information about this amnesia plague?" The man shushed her loudly -- so loudly that several people looked over at them, where nobody had been paying them any attention before. The man seemed not to notice. "Not so loud!" he said in a stage whisper. Stacy, humoring him, lowered her own voice. "You have information for me?" she repeated. He gave her a serious look. (Or at least, she thought it was a serious look. It was hard to tell with the sunglasses.) "Yes," he said gravely. "I know the origin of this plague."
