The device's power cord ran under a selection of maps and into a wall.
There seemed no way through except a one way mirror. Louise chucked a seat
through the mirror. Astra cleared the glass away with a rolled up newspaper and carefully stepped in. The others followed. It was a monitoring room, with sixteen different views of where the group of women had been sitting. Several logos indicated worldwide intelligence agencies. "This is so weird." said Joe. "If we were predicted, how come we are not knowing anything until now?" "Doesn't make sense." said Joe. "Two humans, a dog and two hyena-girls, recognizable as me and Louise...if this was so important, why did they not track me and Louise down already?" "It's only recognizable as you two because you two are here. Along with Lassie and two humans." "Seems like such a big effort to go through for one admittedly odd Nostradamus prediction." said Louise. "Maybe there is something more in the picture." Joe, having taken the book with her, flipped it open to the drawing again. "I can understand how the layout of the bookstore is recognizable...but how many bookstores are there in the world?" "Aha!" said Stacy. "But how many bookstores are there with video recorders?" Indeed, in the drawing, right 'behind' Lassie was the clear representation of the video recorder. "Heh." said Louise. "We must have been so freaked out about seeing us we didn't notice that." "Logical." said Stacy. "Nostradamus predicting cutting edge technology would be far more important then a still-noteable drawing of two furs, two humans and a dog crouching over several books." "Which takes us exactly where?" said Louise. "Some dude hundreds of years dead predicted this and all are reading has got us absolutely nowhere. Plus, zombies." Astra shrugged. "Wouldn't you repress knowledge of a world-destroying event?"
