Going After Lassie

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 77480

Astra and Stacy ran after Lassie, and were just in time to see her disappear through a doggy door. They soon found that all the full-sized doors were locked and the ground floor [American first floor] windows were secure. Pushing open the flap over the doggy door and calling to Lassie had no result, and nor did ringing the doorbell get a response.

"We have to get your dog back," Astra said.

"She's not my dog, exactly," Stacy said. "We just sort of became attached to each other. But we've become friends and I would like her back."

"There's an open window up there," Astra said, pointing at a window that was fully thirty feet above ground level. "I'm banking on my new cat-girl abilities including being good at climbing. I'll get in through that window and then come down and open the front door from the inside. Then we'll find Lassie and leave."

  1. So Astra began to climb the wall.
  2. But Stacy insisted that she ought to be the one to climb. She took off her shoes and socks, so that her toe claws would be able to get some purchase, and began.
  3. But just then the front door was opened from the inside. Their ringing the doorbell had evidently gotten a response after all.
