She flicked over to the next page, and her mouth fell open. It contained a reprodction of one of the drawings with which Nostradamus had illustrated his work, and related to the current "end of the world" prophecy that, whether by luck or design, had so spectacularly come to pass.

1. It was entitled "The Survivors" and showed what was unmistakably the five of them (yes, the picture included Lassie).
2. It was entitled "The New Eve" and showed Astra, naked except for a fig leaf strategically placed to spare the blushes of the viewer. "I wonder who your New Adam will be," Stacy said. "That's not funny," Astra snapped.
