Robert Hears the Story

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 7736

So Stacy went through the whole story again, in great detail, just as she had done with Paula. She included all the events since then, culminating in her plane trip to Alabama. Robert sat quietly through it all, listening with a serious expression on his face.

"Why didn't you tell me this earlier?" he asked.

"Well, I... I don't know. It's kind of unnerving to talk about it. It makes me feel very... vulnerable, I guess. And since I don't remember anybody, it's hard for me to know who I should trust." She looked at him apologetically.

Robert sat silent for a moment. When he finally spoke, his words surprised Stacy greatly:

  1. "This is all my fault."
  2. "It must be some kind of a side-effect..."
  3. "I'm afraid you shouldn't have trusted me, Stacy."
