"Joe! I'm so relieved that you're OK. You have your mobile phone switched off, so I decided to come over to see if you were all right. Are these friends of yours?" Louise was looking at Stacy and Astra, doing her best not to stare at the latter too obviously.

So there was another round of explanations. When these were done, Louise said: "I had to walk over here. Trying to drive was hopeless - there are abandoned vehicles everywhere. Where is everyone?"

"We were hoping that you could tell us," Joe said.

"You know that I work shifts. I only woke up an hour ago, to find everyone gone. It's like that old film 'Night of the Comet'. Except that I haven't come across any decaying zombies so far, thankfully."

1. They discuss what to do next.
2. Right on cue, a decaying zombie lurches into the store. Stacy, Joe and Louise scream, while Astra grabs a mannequin and uses it to knock the zombie's head off.
3. Right on cue, a group of six decaying zombies lurch into the store.
