Even the Staircase Room held power over the gods. Or at least the demigods.
Some theorized that is why the place had been built, or ... formed. To
somewhat contain the forces of creation. Maybe this was why Reaibn was here, to be punished for his actions against Raymond. The dark...thing...that was Reaibn's companion removed itself to a room that had not been there before. Light, sound and a few other things only demigods could sense slipped out under the door. EIr-KahR wasn't much for chit-chat when there was a problem and being trapped inside the Staircase Room was something all known (and unknown) entities feared. Somewhat relieved he wouldn't be bothered into Old Scratch's eldritch rituals were finished (could be a few minutes or a few billion years) Reaibn decided to try to escape the best he could.
