Lassie's Hair Loss

"And poor us," Astra said. "I imagine that we're likely to suffer the same effect. I expect that the hair will grow back in time, though. Don't worry to much about Lassie. Losing her hair doesn't seem to bother her."

1. Sure enough, great tufts of the women's hair soon start falling out, and before long they are totally bald. Even their eyebrows are lost.
2. But for whatever reason, the women are unaffected.
3. Their hair is unaffected, but their skin turns a bright pink.
4. The acid in the water caused the women to lose all their hair and their skin to turn bright pink.
