"Oh for crying out loud!" said Stacy. "We're not even the same species! I've read the comic books, this kind of nonsense doesn't work that way."
Manna places a paw on her shoulder. "Um...adoption?"
"Screw this! I'm not going with a guy no matter how famous, just because he thinks I'm his sister."
David raised his paws. "Fine with me. No worries. Um...my personal doctor is up the block..." He turns to several of the police officers and hands them a card. "Can you take these two ladies to this woman? She's my personal doctor, as I've just said. Zebra."
Several hours later, with Manna by her side all the time, Stacy has had a full physical by a kind, female doctor, Adalie Smith, who was a zebra morph. Several police officers, interested in the violence at the station, pass time in the waiting room.

  1. Smith proclaims nothing is wrong with her.
  2. Stacy has a brain tumour.
  3. Stacy needs several more tests.
  4. Stacy needs rest; it's a rare but noteable affliction for her species; some allergies bring on amensia.
  5. Despite the police, six thugs burst into the office.
  6. The doctor cannot find anything wrong with Stacy memory wise...but she does find Stacy has given birth, to one child five years ago.
  7. The police had run a fingerprint, from a waterglass in the waiting room. Stacy is the long-adopted-ago daughter of Bill Simons, the third richest man in America and a war profiteer.
