The Princess, the Necromancer and the Magical Dog

"Being woken suddenly would startle her, which might cause her to emit a large amount of uncontrolled magical energy. The consequences for anyone in the vicinity are impossible to predict, but could be very unpleasant."

"I see. Might I ask who you are, what you are doing in these caves, and how you know so much about the dog?"

"Knowing about magical creatures is part of my stock in trade, for I am Belboz the Necromancer. I live in the caves, having been driven from my original home by people with an irrational prejudice against necromancers. The dragon leaves me alone, so long as I do not try to interfere with his plans. He recognises that I command power comparable to his own, and that taking action against me would be more trouble than it was worth."

Belboz paused, before adding: "Now that I have told you so much about myself, it would be only polite for you to return the favour."

1. "I am Astra, warrior princess of Aqualaria, here on a mission to destroy the dragon."
2. "I am sorry, but I am not sure that I trust you."
3. "Perhaps you would be willing to answer one more question first? The pink, frilly clothes that I found a little while ago wouldn't have anything to do with you, by any chance?"
4. "Our conversation seems to have woken the dog. I hope that we haven't startled it."
