Fred stripped the bodies and arranged them in a pile, then doused them
with torch oil and set them ablaze. There had been nothing of use on the
foul dwarves save a canteen of highly flammable grog which he added to
the flames. Searching the remains of the woman's belongings he found a
shredded blue robe and a sigil of the St. Exiceferus Holy Nuns' Order, as
well
as damaged documents with orders to arrive at a village fifteen miles
south of here and "recieve the benediction of a man known as the Pious,
recognizable by the twelve goldenleaf pattern on the hem of his robe".
Just what the hell was going on here? Could the Church have some
connection to all this? Fred decided that he didnt have time to stick around and find out. As flames from the pyre cast the cavern with an eerie glow Fred searched for passages out of this hell-hole. The lizard man had also dropped a map of the surrounding caves showing what awaited Fred at the end of each passage way.
