Fred noticed Astra and Bob exhanging a smile. "Other than that, I mean," he said, blushing,

"I know," Velus said. "I spy with my little eye something beginning with B."

"Beach," Astra guessed.

"Boobs," said Bob, looking fondly at Astra,

"Boring," Fred said.

"That's not an objext," Astra objected.

"No, I meant that I-Spy is boring. We must already have played it a thousand times. We need something new."

1. "So what do you suggest?" Astra asked.
2. "Astra was right," Velus said, ignoring Fred's intervention.
3. "Bob was right," Velus said.
4. "Nobody guessed it," Velus said. "The answer was 'brontosaurus'."
5. "Actually I was wrong earlier," Bob said, going off at a tangent. "It's a horse's gestation period that applies, since Astra is now 80% horse. So she will be with foal for 11 months rather than 9."
