Filling in Some of the Blanks

"We managed to drive off the lisards when we happened upon them and saw that they had a human prisoner. You had evidently had a rough time of it. Our healer says that you have at least one cracked rib, so you are going to have to take it easy for a while. You also have a nasty bruise on your cheek as well as a lot of minor cuts and bruises, and your shoulder was dislocated, but our healer popped it back while you were unconsscious. He thought that you were almost sure to be concussed as well, but you don't seem to show any signs of that."

"My family have tough skulls. What happened to my clothes?"

"The lisards must have stripped you. They were probably planning to eat you."

"Ugh! How did four of you drive off eight of those creatures? They seem rather formidable."

"They are that, but though they have spears fortunately they don't have crossbows. We fired on them from beyond the range of their spears. Even their tough hide is not proof against a crossbow bolt. We killed one, and wounded another, though he managed to get away."

"I have been remiss. I should have said before this that I am very grateful to you and your friends for rescuing me. Now please can you tell me, what is this place? You may think it a strange question, but I was sent here by a magic user and I genuinely don't know."

1. The bald man tells her.
2. The bald man bursts out laughing. "The same magic user who sent us here, I'll warrant. We've been here a little while now, but still have no more idea than you do of where we are."
