Simon Belmont had been having a rough morning. First, there was the
incessant groaning and screaming of the tortured damned from some other
Floor that kept him up half the night. Tower services was supposed to have
fixed that about five times! So, going on almost no sleep, he awoke to another damned vampire about to rip his throat out. After some slaying (which he has to admit, he did pretty poorly), he realized that the vampire gore had gotten on his new suit, which he needed for his job interview*. So, that was pretty depressing. He then went to the kitchen, and found that he only had one bagel left, and like, one tiny tiny scrapings worth of cream cheese. Grumbling, he hears a knock at the door. Taking his bagel with him, he shuffles in his slippers to the door, and opens it. His stomach gives an irritated growl when he realizes its Josh Burbank**. About to tell him to go away, he is surprised by Josh snatching away his bagel and stuffing it into his mouth. "Mmmmphhhhh" says Josh, chewing away. Simon stands there sputtering for a moment, then finally gains the ability to talk. "You motherf***er!" says Simon. "That's my last bagel. Dammit, this sh*tty morning ends now. " he then pulls out a stake, and plunges it into Josh's heart. He then slams the door, and goes to get ready for his interview. "Urgh!" says Josh, swallowing that last bite of bagely goodness as his heart pumps its last few. A long gurgle is heard by no one in that vast staircase.. and then Josh dies. Again. For like the gadrillionth time. * - You would think there would be plenty of work for a vampire hunter, but not so. Vampires have unionized now, and you can't just slay them unless they Hunt you. True story. ** - Many people who live on a Floor in the tower, and are 'Aware', actively subscribe to information bulletins. Among these are numerous warnings about the Staircase Room, and Josh and Scott. So, what now?
