What Sort of Name for a Movie Is That?

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 7555

Standing outside was a good-looking man aged about thirty. If Stacy was committed to a date with him, it could have been a lot worse, at least as far as his looks were concerned. Of course, for all she knew he was a total creep. For a moment, she had cold feet, and she nearly told him that something had come up preventing her from making the date. Then she decided that would be cowardly, and she opened the door and let him in.

"Hi, Stacy," he said, kissing her on the cheek. At least she had a clue now as to just how friendly the two of them were, Stacy thought, since he hadn't kissed her on the lips. "Hi," she said, a little awkwardly since she had no idea of his name. "Looking forward to seeing the 'The Never Ending Quest'?" he asked. "Whoever would have thought that an Addventure game could provide the inspiration for a movie? The combination of live actors and computer-generated characters and scenery is supposed to be more impressive than anything there's been in that line up till now."

Stacy hadn't much idea what he was talking about. Presumably he was referring to a computer game of some sort - she knew what an adventure game was - but she had never heard of one called 'The Never Ending Quest'. So she nodded sagely and said something non-committal.

"Give me ten minutes to get ready," she said next, and went into her bedroom and changed into something more suitable for a night out. Having checked to make sure that this time she had her keys, she let the man show her out to his car. It was a BMW; her date was obviously fairly well off.

After a short drive, they arrived at the movie theater. Stacy found the film, about the quest of three characters called Frederigo, Astra and Velus to kill an evil dragon:

  1. Exciting..
  2. Dreadful. "Who writes this stuff?" she wondered.
