Stacy Has No Luck with the Police

Stacy looked out of the window. Yes, she could see a hotel. But what was
going on here?
How could her meeting someone save many lives? And if she hadn't
made it home,
would the caller have let those people die? Deciding that she couldn't
just do
nothing, she decided that the sensible thing to do was to speak to the
police. She
wasn't prepared to give them her name or address, however. She still had
that
(paranoid?) feeling
that she had had all along, that she didn't want to get involved with the
authorities.
She was put through to a bored-sounding police officer, who said: "Lady, do you know just how many crank calls we get every single day? For such a wild story as yours, unless you will give us your name and address there is no way that we are going to check it out." Stacy:
